As a person who was born in Afghanistan and
raised in Afghanistan, I can understand all the smallest issues within the
Afghan community.
I strongly believe that Omar Mateen was a
victim of a bigger anti-Muslim conspiracy which is a part of a bigger
Islamophobic plot in the American society, by being in scene as a victim and
charged with the murder crimes committed by others after death.
He worked in a security organization with
dangerous people from intelligence background. He was a naïve young Muslim who
had no problem with homosexuality. According to different Medias and interviews
of his friends, he was going to that gay club for many years. A person who
suffers from homophobia, he would never go to a gay club because
psychologically he would be afraid of it and he would be against it.
He was a young married man, a citizen of the
US, born and raised in the United States and went to school there and got an
American Education, but only had a name of Afghan origins. He had never
traveled to Afghanistan and he had nothing common with the Afghan boys being
born and raised inside Afghanistan.
Now let’s suppose that he committed this mass
murder and he was to blame and look at the its’ environmental factors which
might have possibly influenced a young married man to murder all those people
who have been visiting him for the last three years in a gay bar in the
American society.
A married man who beats his wife for no
reasons and the wife says that he was not mentally normal, worked for a
security company, sometimes went to a mosque to pray, usually went into the gay
bars, drank alcohol and dated gay people; could he really be a homophobic
person?
Such kind of a person is not a homophobic
person. Let’s assume that he was a homophobic person as what his father says
and also a person who was suffering mental disorders as per the statements of
his wife who saw him acting in a weird manner while beating her. Why would a
security company employ a person with mental disorders and gave him guns and gave
him even the permits to purchase guns?
What if it was an organized crime and the
murderers gave the guns in the hands of death body who was a victim the same as
others in that club?
What if the anti-Muslim groups set him up to
blame him for this murder and to put pressure on all other Muslim communities?
If you look at the environmental factor that
could motivate a Muslim young man in a strongly anti-Muslim environment, we
will see the following things:
- Islamophobia
- Xenophobia
- Fake and wrong news and propaganda against Muslims
- Conspiracies at the world politics
- Invasion and military occupation of Islamic countries
- Suppression
- Deprivation of basic human rights which creates hatred
- Deprivation of education opportunities which keep Muslim young generation low level of education and low level of understanding basic issues to differentiate between what is a crime and what is not a crime
- Racism
- Discrimination
- Disrespect towards the cultural values of Muslims for example vegetarians are not humiliated for not eating meat worldwide as much as Muslims are being humiliated for not eating pork or not drinking alcohol
- Exploitation and employing of Islamic extremism as a political means to achieve political goals and political intervention and military occupation of the Islamic countries by the western politicians give raise to extremism within these countries too for example by spending American tax money on Pakistan to create and support the Taliban against the people of Afghanistan, but the Taliban not only kill the people of Afghanistan but they happen to murder American and NATO soldiers in Afghanistan too
- The US and other western countries are supporting only one ethnic group in Afghanistan and help them dominate and marginalize other ethnic groups and they accept immigrants only from that specific ethnic group and Mateen happened to be from that specific ethnic group which is supported by the US
- If you support religious extremism in other countries, it will fire back and there will be backslashes too and it will kill your own people too, so the best strategy is to stop supporting extremism against the innocent civilians of Afghanistan and support the open societies instead to and let them dominate.
