Migration is
not a crime. Immigration is one of the fundamental human
rights of all people on earth which allows them to escape from war, death and torture
to any other country which they think might be peaceful and they think there
might be security provided for them. According to Geneva Convention and the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights, both documents recognize the rights of migration
and all European countries have signed these treaties and are committed to
implement them.
Afghanistan is
a country that has suffered 40 years of war, national and international conflicts,
international terrorism, operations of extremist groups who are still active in
that country, and every day claim the lives of hundreds of civilians in major cities of the
country, even in the capital city they target military
buildings and vehicles but murder civilians, so no one feels safe in Afghanistan in their own homes.
A great number
of European countries have showed deep concerns and they behaved very well, and have done a great job in helping
the Afghan refugees by trying really hard to help them, but in some European
countries extremists and anti-immigration parties have targeted immigrants from
Afghanistan and have caused serious damages to a great extent which takes many
human lives every month all over Europe. The ways the damages take place is mainly
via interventions in health, nutrition interventions, and organized process interventions during the asylum application. The Afghan refugees have even witnessed hostile racist attacks on them which have caused
serious injuries and lives to Afghan refugees. Meanwhile a large number of Afghan refugees, on
their way to Europe, lose their lives and members of their families by drowning in the Mediterranean Sea. The number
of human lives rises to thousands every year.
European
countries must understand that Afghan refugees are escaping a war and and the most dangerous terrorist groups who are active in their countries and helping them is in fact a response to extremist groups
inside Afghanistan, but if European countries harm the Afghan refugees, it is in fact, a direct help to
extremist groups like Taliban and ISIS who also target these Afghan refugees back
home and it is a moral duty of all Europeans not to harm them anymore, because they have all suffered so much and endured miserable conditions already.
No one and no
country has the right to imprison or punish immigrants from Afghanistan without
any trial and without any evidence proving their crime, so, you’d better think
twice when you meet them, whether you have the right to put them in detention
centers or in prisons or not. A large number
of Afghan refugees on their journey to Europe, are taken as hostages by unknown people or the local police or the local racist groups, without any crime, without any trial, without any evidence to prove that they might have done something wrong, they arrest Afghan refugees and they imprison them. Such kind of behavior is not according to human rights and Geneva Convention
but rather a direct breach of human rights and the Geneva Convention and it is
also against the spirit of humanity and philanthropy.
Racist attacks
on unarmed civilian, women, children, youth and men of immigrants who escape
Taliban and ISIS, are increasing by the extremist groups inside European countries. These attacks are the
same attacks as terrorist groups do inside Afghanistan who want to murder them in the first place of
their country of origin. They are running for their lives and they want to save
their lives and that is why they escape to a safe country. Any kinds of attacks
and any kinds of intentions against them, to harm them, are condemned and it cannot
be justified and there should be no attacks organized on immigrants from Afghanistan.
All European countries who host some Afghan refugees bear the task of saving the lives of refugees and these countries have the responsibility of protecting the lives of immigrants in the host
countries, and they should teach them and warn them about the existence of anti-immigration
parties inside their communities as well as about the areas of operations of these groups in order to let them know where and in what parts of the country are those extremist groups and how the immigrants can protect and save themselves from the attacks of the racist groups and how can
they avoid their attacks and rescue their lives from racist, discriminatory, xenophobic, hatred and hate attacks
on new comers.
The right to
work, the right of access to education, the right to seek asylum, the right to
review their cases of asylum without bias, the right to be able and allowed to send
their children to school, the right to humanitarian assistance, the right to
humane treatment and the right of being away from any kind of discrimination
whether it is racial, lingual, sectarian, religious, regional, or whether it
is based on political party, viewpoints and beliefs, these are all the
human rights which should be provided, secured and maintained for all refugees
without any hesitation in all European countries in order to implement the
signed declaration of human rights and Geneva conventions.
A large number
of Afghan refugees risk their lives and even lose members of families to reach
to a safe European country by selling their houses, land and their property in
the country of origin and use the money on the way to Europe, therefore,
looking at the price they pay to get to Europe, no country and no legal entity
has the right to deport them back without their consent. The deportation of immigrants
back to Afghanistan will bring them in the hands of Taliban. And that is a very dangerous
condition for the refugees and for the future of their children because they
won’t have the same house and properties back home, as they had in first place and there will be nothing
for them to start a new life and they will not be able to send their children
to school.
The European
countries do not have the right to ask asylum application from the children who
are under the age of 18 and those children should not be asked for an interview
and they should not be interviewed to answer the tough questions of the asylum
seeking case, because they have not reached the legal age and most probably they cannot defend
their case for asylum.
Immigrants
from Afghanistan face serious problems such as legal, health, cultural,
economic and communication problems due to language and cultural differences. Any kinds of efforts
on behalf of the European countries to recruit staff from the refugees of
Afghanistan themselves would be highly appreciated and it would be cost effective
for the host countries too, because it will save some burden of communication cost because of language problem and also the people of Afghanistan themselves know the culture
very well and they know how to solve the problems of refugees, because they
have experienced all those problems themselves. If they are employed as social
workers, it will be very easy for them because then they do not need an extra
budget for an interpreter. Also sending Afghanistan asylum seekers to doctor
and lawyers who are originally from Afghanistan will help them very much, because there will be no cultural and communication gap and misunderstandings. Employing Afghans for Afghans, on the
one hand, solves the problem of translation and language, and on the other hand,
it can reduce the risk of racist attacks on asylum seekers and immigrants from Afghanistan and it will save
their lives on the way of dealing with the asylum seekers and immigrants because they face very
serious dangers every day.
Extremist
right-wing political parties in Europe are growing due to the anti-immigration
feelings in Europe, and they target not just asylum seekers and immigrants from Afghanistan, but they
are targeting mostly Muslim immigrants, sometimes they make them the target, and the main subject of the media, by making false accusations and allegations against
them, by announcing that they are involved in various crimes, including involvement in
terrorist attacks, involvement in the robbery, child abuse, sexual assault, and
lack of integration with host communities, so as to incite public opinion
against Afghan asylum seekers and immigrants and to make them more vulnerable to attacks and expose them to the extremist groups
and to those European parties who are nationalists, racists or follow xenophobic and Islamophobic ideologies . The people of
Europe should know that these are all false accusations that labels immigrants and asylum seekers as criminals and terrorist so that they will be able to motivate and reinforce racist
and anti-immigration groups to increase their attacks on them. These charges are false, and every day
hundreds of immigrants and asylums seekers lose their lives of get bitten and attacked by unknown groups in European countries in this process. These are the dangers that threaten the
lives of migrants and asylum seekers and it won’t generate any type of benefit and interest to any
groups, but it will further intensify deep social divisions and fuel the increasing
hatred and massacre of immigrants and asylum seekers in European countries.
Transparency
and monitoring of aid to Afghan refugees is also one of the major issues that
must be done very carefully, and involving the embassy and the Afghan cultural
institutions and the Afghan people themselves as well as Afghan NGOs and civil
society organisations to participate, because a great number of asylum seekers and immigrants from
Afghanistan lost their lives due to suspected health, food, or aid interventions
and such kind of processes can have adverse consequences for the international
community and to international peace because the Afghan asylum seekers and immigrants have seen
the worst situations possible while it is possible and it can be much better only if handled in a
more responsible manner because it has got worse and worse in recent years, and
the immigrants and asylum seekers from Afghanistan face severe inhuman and hostile behavior in
various European countries and they have shared their concerns regarding an outbreak
of a new disaster in the near future and are pleading that all immigrants and asylum seekers and refugees will
be targeted and there is a new Holocaust going on underway.
All human
rights organizations and all institutions and entities are requested to reflect
the real situation and to show how the real situation is, and to reveal the true
picture of the situation in Europe, by referring to facts and statistics and to
avoid any kinds of bias concerning any intentions to divert the reports of the
real situation of immigrants and asylum seekers from Afghanistan, because the hidden situation can
get even worse due to the manipulation of reports and the data of description
of the situation. The situation can get worse and worse and the crisis will claim
further lives of same human beings. What is more critical here, is that, by
reporting the true situation we can save some lives rather than putting more
lives in the crisis that could take more lives of millions of children, women,
and migrant men who put their lives at risk, by starting to migrate while they
don’t know the situation here in Europe.
Immigrants
from Afghanistan do not pose any kinds of threat to any person, religion, or
group in Europe. They are just looking for a safe shelter
and fleeing from war and international terrorism and they want to save their
lives by fleeing the war. They respect
all religions and the freedom of speech, conscience, religion, belief and never
want to cause any kinds of trouble for the host countries and they all fully believe in
democracy.
Afghan
immigrants come from a country that their culture is based on civility,
generosity, sportsmanship, respect for elders, compassion and kindness to
children and needy and their whole ideas are shaped based on humanity without
discrimination by focusing on equality and they do not want and cannot properly
express their problems and if no matter how host countries make them suffer or
if the host countries narrowed the situation down on them and put them in the
worst conditions, they always blame themselves and do not blame it on their
host countries, but already problems of Afghan refugees and asylum seekers in Europe are out of the level of tolerance and patience of human beings and it is already too hard for
them.
The situation
of Afghan immigrants and asylum seekers in Europe is severely vulnerable and they live in the most
difficult conditions. Please help the
immigrants from Afghanistan, they are living in the poor conditions in which
they try to save their own and their families and their children’s lives, if
you help them, it means that you have saved a family and they will always remember your help and they will always try to
compensate for you, and do to you the same what you have done to them.
Do not let the asylum seekers and immigrants from Afghanistan fall in the hands of the extremist groups and the
racists, and do not allow those racists torture them for years, and do not
allow those anti-immigrant groups make them spend parts of their lives in
prison without any crime and even further do not allow another refugee, asylum seeker or migrant drown in the sea or lose their lives. Do not let the children from Afghanistan, who hope to reach peace, drown in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Do not let a nation that has always respected and defended equality,
fraternity, and respect for different cultures and beliefs, get disappointed, while
they have come to the doors of a proud nation of Christians and they though
already that you are good people, that is why they came to you, do not let them
get disappointed, and do not let them die at the doors of the Christians behind
the doors of the churches in the worst conditions, if you believe in Jesus and
if you believe in goodness and philanthropy.
Do not let that
the migrants from Afghanistan lose their confidence in humanity of Christians. Do not write the history the way that the
next generations would read it as a shameful pages that would say that European
Christians murdered all asylum seekers and immigrants from Afghanistan just the way the Nazi’s
mass murdered Jews and do not let a second Holocaust get written in the records of your history
books.
Do not let
that the dream of having a doll or the dream of having a toy in the mind of an asylum seeker or immigrant
child from Afghanistan drown in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. It's not a very big thing. Each of you people in Europe can save a
child from the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
Do not let
your corrupt politicians in your country to spend your tax money on bombarding Muslim
countries by drones, because if so many are killed and mass-murdered, there will be some left to manage to
escape and they come to you, now they are at your doors and ask you to help them. Do not let your tax money destroy the homes of Muslim children in Afghanistan, in Iraq or in Syria, because if a
number of them were murdered and some may escape and they come back to you and ask
for help.
In short, the main message is that we are people in the verge of dying, if you can help us help, if
you cannot help, the least you can do is to let us alone and let is die by ourselves, but please reduce and decrease the number of your racist attacks. Ask your doctors to stop murdering asylum seekers and refugees
and migrant of Afghanistan by injecting poison and prescribing incorrect
medication. Ask the extremists in your community not to
poison the food, and not to murder the child who came behind your doors for
help. Ask your church and priests to stop religions preaching on refugees and stop
inviting the children to Christianity, they do not require religious propaganda
at this stage when they need food to survive.
Ask your
people to stop telling immigrants offensive taunts. Ask your language teachers who tell
offensive words, to stop insulting asylum seekers and immigrants from Afghanistan. Prevent false accusations and allegations. Do not insult the Afghan refugees by calling
them “the Taliban”. Do not call
them terrorists either. They are all
victims of Taliban, Al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorists, when you put these names on them,
they will doubt your humanity.
