مردم افغانستان، ایران و تاجکستان به یک زبان حرف میزنند اما با لهجه های متفاوت
Same Language but Not Easy to Understand
The people in Afghanistan, Iran and Tajikistan speak the same language but by different names and in different dialects. The people in Afghanistan call it Dari, the people in Iran call it Farsi and the people in Tajikistan call it Tajiki. They use the same verbs and the same grammar and sentence structure but still they have different names for most of the items which makes it difficult for each other to understand. I am writing down here some of the items which have got different names in Afghanistan and the same items got different names in Iran to explain the extent of the difference in two dialects of the same language and to make it clear that why it is difficult for Afghans to understand when an Iranian person speaks and why it is difficult for the Iranians to understand the same language when an Afghan speaks. I think the level of understandability among the common people of the two communities can be estimated to almost 50 % because of the different expressions and different names used in different areas for different items. These are the most common things which have got different names in Afghanistan and different names in Iran and also different names in Tajikistan:
