Reform of Judicial System in Afghanistan

Justice of our time is not the justice of 1400 years ago, which can be achieved by cutting hands, death penalty, capital punishment, death under the wall and stoning of criminals. This type of punishment is of a very primitive punishment laws based on theological thoughts of a thousand and four hundred years ago. Today the crimes are also not the same crimes as thousand and four hundred years ago. Robbery has its roots in poverty, rape is rooted in education. The purpose of punishment is to force reform and correction of human behaviour and it can not be brought into existence by killing humans. Today the problems of our society is not only lack of a proper judicial system, but also lack of economic system, lack of quality education system, lack of employment, lack of rule of law and a reliable political system, lack of committed men for the purpose of serving the people and the lack of intellectuals in that country and also lack of attention to basic human physiological needs all together contribute to bring the crime rate higher and will force ethics and moralities to escape from the societies. And as a result, we see all these problems arising in that country and we hear it from the media. It is exactly the same problems that Europe has experienced during its Dark Age and it learned from it and thoughtful people in this continent had created the Renaissance . And the Renaissance was the foundation of democratic societies which appeared today.
